I am a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA) through the Council for Certification of Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). I am also a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and an approved American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator.  I have been working with dogs and their owners for over 20 years. I continually upgrade my skills by attending conferences and workshops, absorbing the latest books and DVD's and through on-line discussion groups with other certified trainers. I use positive, dog and family friendly methods based on the science of learning theory to help owners improve their pet's behavior. I also compete in competitive dog sports including obedience, rally, agility, tracking and field.  In addition to this business, I co-own Canine Coaches LLC, another positive dog training business which conducts classes in the Ingham County and Jackson areas.
